Symphytum grandiflorum ‘Wisley Blue’ ist eine kräftige, bodendeckende Staude mit großen, rauen grünen Blättern und auffälligen, sanftblauen Blüten, die früh im Frühjahr erscheinen. Diese Sorte eignet sich hervorragend für halbschattige bis schattige Beete, unter Sträuchern und in naturnahen Gärten, wo sie schnell dichte Bestände bildet und Unkraut unterdrückt. Symphytum grandiflorum ‘Wisley Blue’ gedeiht am besten in feuchten, humusreichen und gut durchlässigen Böden. Die Pflanze ist pflegeleicht, winterhart und besonders wertvoll für früh fliegende Bienen und andere Insekten.
