Luzula sylvatica, auch Wald-Hainsimse genannt, ist eine robuste, immergrüne grasartige Staude mit breitem, glänzend dunkelgrünem Laub. Diese Pflanze eignet sich hervorragend für schattige Beete, unter Bäumen und Sträuchern sowie für naturnahe Gärten, wo sie das ganze Jahr über Struktur und Ruhe bringt. Luzula sylvatica gedeiht gut im Halbschatten bis Schatten, ist pflegeleicht und sehr winterhart. Dank ihres dichten Wuchses ist sie ein ausgezeichneter Bodendecker für schwierige, schattige Gartenbereiche.
