Persicaria bistorta ist eine robuste Staude mit graugrünem Laub und auffälligen, zylindrischen Blütenähren, die von Spätfrühling bis Mitte Sommer in einem wunderschönen Rosa bis Purpurrot blühen. Diese kräftige Pflanze ist ideal für feuchte Beete, naturnahe Gärten und Teichränder, wo sie Höhe und Struktur verleiht. Persicaria bistorta gedeiht am besten an sonnigen bis halbschattigen Standorten in gut feuchtem, nährstoffreichem Boden. Die Pflanze ist pflegeleicht, winterhart und zieht Bienen und Schmetterlinge an.
