Galium odoratum, auch bekannt als Waldmeister, ist eine charmante, niedrig wachsende Staude mit frischgrünem Laub und kleinen, sternförmigen weißen Blüten. Diese Bodendeckerpflanze eignet sich hervorragend für schattige Beete, unter Bäumen und Sträuchern sowie für naturnahe Gärten, wo sie schnell dichte Teppiche bildet. Galium odoratum bevorzugt einen halbschattigen bis schattigen Standort und einen humusreichen, leicht feuchten Boden. Die Pflanze ist pflegeleicht und verströmt während der Blüte und bei Berührung einen angenehmen Duft.
